The build up is pretty bad. What do I use easy-off? Pressure washer? I want it to look like new.

Nice weather means backyard barbecues. But grease and grime can accumulate pretty quickly in between cookouts. Cleaning your barbecue grill is a breeze with a pressure washer.
Outdoor furniture is made of a lot of different things: Wood, iron, aluminum, even plastic. Visit outdoorcleaning.com for more information.
We recently acquired an older (10+ years) swingset/fort thing. It’s pretty rough, but still works. My biggest issue is that there seems to be a layer on the wood, but I’m not sure what it is. I don’t know if the wood is pressure treated. When the wood gets wet, this layer seems to come off and make my daughter’s clothing all dirty. What should I use (chemicals/pressure washer/scrubbing) to clean that awful layer off? Any advice would help. Thank you!
I believe my swing-set is made of redwood with redwood stain. I am worried that my 4500psi pressure sprayer will do more harm than good to this softwood. Am I suppose to pressure spray off most of the old stain so that the new stain (Durastain Semi-transparent stain/sealer) will adhere to the surface better? Or, am I simply suppose to clean off any dirt before re-staining it? I really do not want to use a sander to remove the old stain because that would be an insane amount of work.
